BIOGRAPHY:
PAUL GUISE, B.Mus. (Queen’s 1995), M.Mus. (UAlberta 1999), M.B.A.
(Heriot-Watt 2000), Ph.D. (UKansas 2004)
PAUL GUISE is a cultural consultant, conductor and
music educator living in Winnipeg, Canada. His primary research
interests include cultural enterprise education, arts education policy
development, curriculum analysis, and the group dynamics of the musical
ensemble, with a particular emphasis on small choirs.
His doctoral dissertation is entitled, "Music Business
Education in Canada: a census and developmental template." Dr. Guise
has presented papers and workshops in Canada, Iceland, Sweden, the
United Kingdom, and the United States, has published numerous reviews
in Canadian Folk Music and columns in Listening In, and has recorded
and edited compact discs for numerous clients.
